In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. Proverbs 14:26
To fear the LORD is to respect Him. This fear produces an awe and admiration for God which affects the way one lives.
The result is confidence in the LORD. A strong confidence, because those that fear the LORD understand that He is the Almighty and is unchangeable. His children know Him and are encouraged by His great deeds.
What He has done – God has made atonement for their sins, welcomed them into His family, and given them the Holy Spirit to be their guide.
What He is able to do – With God all things are possible. There is confidence knowing that the LORD hears and answers prayer, that He cares for our well-being, and that He works in our lives for His glory. In the LORD is where one finds strength and confidence.
The LORD is a place of refuge for His children. A fortress that provides safety and protection from this dangerous and destructive world you live in. With the LORD, you will find peace, joy, comfort, strength, and wisdom. He provides all that is needed to get through each day.
The fear of the LORD casts out the fears of the world. Trust in God and find the confidence needed on a daily basis.
