Completing a Task

So Solomon built the house, and finished it. 1 Kings 6:14

It’s nice to have projects completed as planned. However, there are some tasks that become difficult to finish. Change in circumstances, unexpected problems, or unplanned work may bring a project to an abrupt halt. These problems may seem endless and even impossible to overcome. It’s times like these that test determination. Do you quit or do you continue?

Evidently Solomon was faced with a similar situation. We’re not given the details but we know that the LORD’S word encouraged Solomon to complete the work he had begun. Solomon had everything needed to finish the project.

Purpose – Solomon was called and commissioned to build the Temple. It was the LORD’S will and work for Solomon.

Plans – The LORD provided the blueprint for the building. Solomon simply had to follow the LORD’S directions.

Provisions – The LORD enabled David to prosper and because of this David was able to collect the materials required for the construction.

Solomon was encouraged to remain faithful to God. The LORD would guide and direct Solomon in the work he had placed before him.

The LORD enabled the task to be completed and encouraged Solomon to do it. The king discovered that God is able to provide all that is needed to serve Him.

With God’s help, you can finish the projects He has given to you.
